Greetings Readers!
Welcome back to Fashioneyesta.com!
Today I am going to be doing a blog which I love doing every single November time after the Autumn festivities have come to pass and we are now starting to look to the month of December and the time of Christmas. Today I am going to be doing a blog on beauty advent calendars! I know a lot of you always request me to do this type of blog post, in particular my friend Jill Barkley over on RNIB’s Connect Radio. So now I feel that it is high time I did blog on my top 1o beauty advent calendars for 2016. I always do it around now as they do tend to sell out very quickly.
Beauty advent calendars become popular in 2014 and since then every year more and more brands join the advent calendar band waggon and bring out their own version for the festivities. For me, I think advent calendars are great because not all of us can eat chocolate and not only that they are a great way of giving ourselves a little pamper each day and allowing us to try out products so that we can have an idea of what to put on our wish lists for Christmas. This year even more brands like Clarins, Clinique, Decleor, and Khieles have brought out their own versions and we also see the return of some favourites like Charlotte Tilbury, Jo Malone and M&S.
In this blog I’ll be sharing with you some of my favourite beauty advent calendars for this year. I have strived to pick a selection all at different price points ranging from £15 all the way up to a whopping £280! So whatever you have to spend this year on a beauty advent calendar you’ll all hopefully find something that you like.
So, without further adieu lets kick off the first of my festive blogs in style. Get yourself a cup of tea, put your feet up and join me.
Its time to talk beauty advent calendars!
Space NK 25 of Beauty Advent Calendar
Price: Free (when you spend £250 at Space NK in store)
So to start off with Space NK have newly joined this trend and have released their own beauty advent calendar. For those of you who haven’t shopped with them before they are a luxury beauty store who sell luxury beauty, skincare, haircare and fragrances. This advent calendar in a sleek white and gold design with little draws features 25 gifts from brands like Nars, Rodial, Lipstick Queen, Dyptique, Eve Lom and more as well as a £50 gift card to use in store. This advent calendar is great for anyone who likes the finer things in life or who is maybe looking to purchase some things from Space NK as gifts. This calendar is also a good option for those of you who have a little more to spend and want a calendar with products from all different brands.
Jo Malone Beauty Advent Calendar
Price: £280

A cult classic in the beauty advent calendar world is one that is brought out every year by the luxury fragrance brand Jo Malone. Jo Malone is one of my all time favourite brands and this is a calendar for those of you who love your luxurious fragrances. This calendar features 24 gifts of deluxe travel sized products from fragrance, body products, candles and more. The calendar features a sleek Georgian House design in cream and black so you could also use it to store things after Christmas.
Charlotte Tilbury World of Legendary Parties Holiday Advent Calendar
Price: £150
Link: Click here
Another long anticipated calendar is from the high end beauty brand Charlotte Tilbury, Charlotte Tilbury is one of the most exquisite makeup and skincare brands I have ever tried and if I had £150 going spare this would be the calendar I opted for. But, alas I’m a postgraduate student with books to buy, so this one is out of my remit this year. This calendar features 12 luxury travel sized and some full sized products from her range from skincare, makeup and more. This calendar is perfect for someone who maybe wants to explore Charlotte Tilbury as a brand and perhaps who wants some Charlotte Tilbury products under the tree. This calendar allows you to try some of Charlotte Tilbury’s most loved products like her Magic Cream, Wonder Glow and Colour Chameleons. This calendar screams luxury and every day you opened this it would feel like Christmas. Whats more, like the Jo Malone calendar this calendar is too a beautiful design which could be used afterwards for storage. The design features a light pink draw system with gold and black drawings of glamorous women and lopped handwriting.
Dytique Advent Calendar
Price: £250

Now if those last few calendars weren’t luxury enough for you, another luxury beauty band that offers an advent calendar is Dyptique. Dyptique is a luxury Parisian fragrance company that make candles, perfumes and body products. Their candles are utterly incredible and if their brand isn’t the epitome of luxury then I don’t know what is! This sleek black and white design calendar features 24 deluxe travel sized Dptique products from their candles and colognes in some of their classic and festive fragrances.
Ritual ‘The Ritual of Advent, Countdown to Christmas’ Advent Calendar
Price: £49.50
Now we start to move into the mid range territory, so these next few calendars are a not quite as expensive as the previous more luxury advent calendars. But, don’t let price fool you because these calendars offer some great little treasures behind those doors. So the first one is a new addition from the brand Rituals. Rituals is one of my favourite brands for pampering and relaxation next to Lush (and no I am not at all biased because I work for Lush.) But anyhow the brand is all about making every day a ritual and they offer things from skincare, bath and body, home fragrance, makeup and more. They offer products for both men and women and their fragrances are utterly incredible. This beautiful red calendar with gold ethnic symbols on it features 24 deluxe travel sized products from their different ranges from fragrance, body, bath and skincare. I think this would be a perfect calendar to give to someone or to give to yourself if you want to have some time to pamper yourself. As during Christmas we can all get a little stressed and I dare say we could all take some time to restore ourselves and unwind from the festivities.
This calendar is sold out online, however it is available in stores. But you are advised to check stock availability before you pay them a visit.
M&S Advent Calendar
Price: £35 (when you spend £35 on gifts or beauty)
Now as I’m sure you know this next advent calendar is in fact my favourite from all of the mid range calendars, it was last year and this year its no acceptation. The M&S advent calendar is one of the unsung heroes of the beauty advent calendar scene and offers some amazing products. M&S stock beauty brands like NUXE, Pixi, Neals Yard Remedies, Phllip Kingsley, Emma Hardy and many more. This calendar was in fact the one I purchased last year and I absolutely loved the quality and the range of products you get in it. This cute advent calendar in a red and white tree design features luxury travel sized and some full sized products from most of the beauty brands they stock. Most notably this year it has a travel size of the famous Emma Hardy Cleansing Balm and the Phillip Kingsley Elastosizer. This calendar is a great mid range calendar and offers products from lots of different beauty brands for you to get your teeth into. This calendar will be available from the 10th of November 2016, but in order to buy it for £35 you have to spend £35 on beauty, gifts, home or clothing. So you cannot purchase it with your weekly grocery shopping I’m afraid.
NYX Professional Makeup Advent Calendar
Price: £60

A makeup brand that has released their own advent calendar is NYX, I’m sure you’ll know of NYX if your an avid YouTube enthusiast like me and watch a lot of beauty gurus. NYX recently came over to the UK and oh my gosh we Brits have been going bananas for this stuff! They have now released this really fun advent calendar with a cute cartoon design featuring 12 mini versions of their Soft Matte Lip Creams which are utterly amazing and 12 new eyeshadows. NYX makeup is excellent for the price point and this would make a great calendar for anyone who wants to add some new products to their collection or maybe for a young teenager who is just starting to get into makeup.
Makeup Revolution Beauty Advent Calendar
Price: £25 (reduced from £40)

Another high street/drugstore beauty brand that have released their own advent calendar is Makeup Revolution. They also released one last year and this year it has returned to Superdrug. This calendar features 24 of their makeup products from lipsticks, bronzers, highlighters, brushes, a makeup mirror and more. This would again be a great little calendar for anyone who wants to explore Makeup Revolution products or perhaps for a teen who is starting to experiment with makeup. Makeup Revolution is a great drugstore makeup brand and their products are very good quality.
Sanctuary Spa The Let Go Days of Christmas
Price: £25

Now a new calendar that has intrigued me this year is the one from Sanctuary Spa, Sanctuary Spa is a brand that makes pamper products from bath and body, candles and skincare. They are stocked in Boots and offer some really beautiful products, this calendar in a vibrant gold, orange and pink design features 24 pamper products from skincare, body, candles and even some pamper accessories like an eye mask. This would be a great set for someone who wants to pamper themselves, its very affordable and the products feel and smell very luxurious and relaxing.
Tanya Burr 12 Days Beauty Calendar
Price: £15 (was £25)
Link: Click here
Now lastly for my advent calendar picks this year is the Tanya Burr 12 Days of Christmas Advent Calendar which is available from Superdrug. I’m sure a lot of you will know who Tanya Burr is, but for those of you who don’t, Tanya Burr is a successful beauty and lifestyle YouTuber who now has her own beauty range. This advent calendar features 12 of her classic and seasonal products from lipsticks, lip glosses, eye shadows, highlighters, nail varnishes and eyeliners. This would make a great calendar for a young girl or someone who is starting out with makeup. Having said that I personally use some of Tanya’s products like her lip glosses which are utterly amazing and have an incredible fragrance. The presentation of this advent calendar is adorable featuring a blue 3 story house decorated for Christmas with little figures in the windows. Whilst its on offer at £15 this would be a great bargain to snap up for Christmas.
So, there you have it that was my top 10 beauty advent calendar picks for 2016, I really hope you liked it and that it has given you some ideas. Do be sure to tweet me @DavisonEm if you bag yourself one of these calendars.
